Yeoman Stoves CL5 Multi-fuel Stove Installation in Warrington

Classic Home Improvements recently completed the installation of a wood burning stove for Mr & Mrs Prescott, from Lymm in Warrington.
Mr & Mrs Prescott visited our showroom in Warrington, where we were able to show them several multi-fuel stoves in full operation.
Mr & Mrs Prescott then booked an appointment for one of our HETAS registered installers to visit their home so as to ascertain the exact method of installation and to discuss the design for the log burner that they were considering.

Wood Burning Stove Survey

Mr & Mrs Prescott’s, Original Brick & Gas Fireplace & home survey report.

On the survey of the chimney, Mr & Mrs Prescott, stated that they wanted to remove the bricks from the chimney and asked if we could plaster the walls as they would require re-finishing due to the existing brick on the wall. of course this wasn’t a problem?.
Once the home survey was completed we were able to sit down and finalise the, final stove selection and material choices before arranging the date for installation.
Part of the installation required the existing gas fire to be capped off when the gas fire had been removed; again as our installers are Gas Safe registered, we could carry out all work without the need of getting sub-contract fitters involved.
we then needed to open the structural builders opening to its maximum sizes so that the wood burner could be installed offering clearance all around. Whilst doing this there was a new concrete lintel installed, and then the chimney breast was plastered.
The wood burner selected for installation was the Yeoman Stoves CL5 multi-fuel stove with the top plate offering a contemporary look to the stove & finished fireplace.
The hearth selected was a natural stone, black riven slate tiled hearth which had been slabbed for solid fuel, with vermiculite panels being fitted to line the chamber.
The oak beam was made to the exact requirements of the chimney breast and was installed using a steel brace, which is unseen and is the best method for fixing a beam.
The Installation took just 2 days and as you can see above the finished results look great.
